Health and Safety Protocols for the Farmers Market
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Coconut Creek has implemented strict guidelines that all vendors and attendees will need to abide by. Everyone must abide by the following rules:
- We require that you wear a facial covering or mask at all times, unless in designated eating area
- Do not attend the market if you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days or currently have COVID-19 symptoms
Vendors will also have a set of rules that they must follow in order to be vendors at the Market. Those rules include:
- We require all vendors wear a facial covering and gloves
- We require that vendors clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- We require booths have mandatory Broward County signage
- We require each vendor to stay at home if any of their employees are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
- We require the electronic payment terminal/credit card reader far away from the cashier in order to increase the distance between the customer and the cashier, if possible
- Pre-packaged samples to market attendees only
- We ask vendors to promote online orders of their products and using the Farmers Market as a pickup location
The City will also be implementing processes to limit the exposure and spread of COVID-19. These include:
- Spacing in between vendors to promote social distancing
- Creating a designated eating area that will be sanitized after use
- Eliminating handouts
- Fencing will be added to the middle of the Market to promote singular flow of the crowd
- Installing signage that promotes single flow, facial covering requirements, social distancing, and current Broward County Orders
- Having multiple hand sanitation stations throughout the event
